It’s been quite the week and I’ve spent a lot of time in thoughtful contemplation. Wilson Cruz shared this video five days ago. I just came across it now. He is absolutely right on all account and it would be good if you took a couple of minutes to watch it.

That said, I not sure how many more political posts I can make. I don’t want my life consumed by garbage Americans trying to destroy this country for the next four years. I will fight to help keep our democracy, but my thoughts are elsewhere. I want to post more of my thoughts and writings and adventures and anything else I can think of to make run-on sentences so my friends will cringe and go “no, no, don’t write like that.”

As such, I’m going to start posting again on my Substack account. I will keep that place strictly for my writing that I would like to monetize and maybe someone will throw me a buck or two. I still have to figure out how to turn the money part on, but I’ll get it sorted. I’m also going to concentrate on writing more podcasts with the hope of getting ahead enough episodes we can release weekly. It’s tough to do when the podcast is your fun hobby and real life sits in the way. And I just realized I forgot to post the last episode to the website even though it’s out on all the podcasting platforms. Ugh.

If you’d like everything about me in one place, I’ll be doing that over at Bluesky. I’m only going to log in there to post links to things I’ve created. I won’t ever go back to Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook and I only reluctantly signed up for a Bluesky account yesterday.

Right now, I’m in week 10 of 12 for my writing intensive course, so that takes up several days a week and I continue to work toward getting my mom into a care home closer to family where she can be cared for as a human being. I haven’t told many people, but I’ve been working on trying to make music as well. I have a few tracks written with the help of SoundTrap and have downloaded Bitwig to take me further. We’ll see how that works out.

For my writing intensive, I made a visual essay and you can see it via a private YouTube link.

Take care, folks. My house is always a sanctuary if you should ever need one.
