I went to the Scotts Bluff County Fair and wrote<\/a> stories<\/a> for the Star-Herald about rabbits<\/a> and poultry<\/a>. I also met the best chicken in the world.<\/p>\n

This is Mayda Leggott. She owns me, the best damn chicken in the world. Mrs. Brooke Heine helps the 4-H kids out because they need both their hands free to keep us chickens from running away. Shush now. I need to listen and make sure Mayda tells the judge everything she’s supposed to.<\/p><\/div>\n

Ahhhh. Your hands are cold. Let go! Let go!<\/p><\/div>\n

Seriously, Mayda. Let go. You’re making me cold. I’m not going to run away.<\/p><\/div>\n

So now you’re going to tickle me? I swear, us chickens can’t get no respect. I tell ya. No respect.<\/p><\/div>\n

Whoah. Us chickens really do that? this girl is pretty smart and knows a lot about chickens. Still, I gotta pee, so hurry up with this presentation.<\/p><\/div>\n

Woooo. I’m the best chicken in the world, people. Just look at me. I’m awesome.<\/p><\/div>\n

Hey. I didn’t agree to no one else touching me. Why is this judge looking at my wing? Am I sick? Little help, Mayda. Please.<\/p><\/div>\n

Okay. Ya’ll can stop touching me now. I’m done. Let’s go home.<\/p><\/div>\n

Hey. You. Pay attention. This little girl put in a lot of hard work to be here today. What? You need me to come and make you pay attention? I swear. It’s like you people have never seen the best damn chicken in the world before.<\/p><\/div>\n
